TwistedWave App Bewertungen

Great but glitchy

I've been using Twisted Wave for a few years now and the cross-platfrom utilization is great. I love recording on my Mac and using my phone as a remote. What I don't love is no matter what buffer size settings I change, I get glitches. I've changed so many settings, tried troubleshooting, and have just given up. Recording voice overs shouldn't be this difficult but I'm constantly forced to redo sections over and over again because of glitches.

TwistedWave

This program is a game changer for my VoiceOvers!!!

twistedwave

Subscription???

Sorry. No. I already have over-featured apps that require subscriptions and I'll start using those if Twisted Wave joins that club.

I should be twisted wave rep.

So many people are having download twisted wave ... after me showing them how easy it is to use.

Loves me some Twisted Wave

Becasue it's an extremely powerul editing system that does lots of thing so clean and effeciently. It's a rock star!

Twisted wave a decade later

Well i had used TW to try VO lessons then it got lost almost a decade passed and TT told me i could open it on the appstore, and so i am trying to use it now to make an MP3 for my Grand kids of the Little prince, it is a lot to try and figure out how to use it again, and oh gosh how many bits and all of it slow deep breaths but still great

Literally Every Generation Equals Never Dissapointment

My favourite editor. LEGEND.

The BEST.

This is simply the best VO studio around... that's it. Twisted Wave is the one you want.

LOVE this app!

One of the best, simplest audio editors out there. Much more, it interacts perfectly with its iOs counterpart, including preserving markers from one OS to the other. No other audio editor does that!

Perfect!

I'm a voice actor and use this app every single day. It's simple, intuitive and smooth. Couldn't imagine life without it!

NEWBIE

So far I am both frustrated and surprised. I made my first MP3 voice and submitted successfully to a site in little time. I do not know whay I am doing and am making mistakes. I ended up submitting a bio of myself that had me talking in various layers.... I had to delete from the site the MO3 mini-bio.

Highly Valuable For Many Years

Twisted Wave has been a stable in my podcast studio for many years. It's perfect for all my recording needs. Highly recommended.

Twisted Wave

This app has never let me down!! Great, practical app, easy to use to record all your vo's. Best buy I've eve made.

Perfect for VO

I love Twisted Wave. It is intuitive, easy to use, has every function I need for VO and isn't clogged with functions I do not need. Customer service is prompt and responsive. I recommend it to all my students and use it on desktop, tablet and mobile. Excellent.

Excellent!

I´ve been working with TW since 2013 and it´s simply amazing. I´ve used it to record promos, auditions, narrations...it´s quick, easy to use and extremely reliable. Thank you! Alejandro Vargas-Lugo

the one I always come back to

I've tried just about every audio editor on the Mac and Twisted Wave is the one I come back to again and again. For me, it strikes the right balance of powerful options and a clean and easy to understand UI.

Easy! Qick! Does the job for me!

I had Sony program in the passed and it stoped working on Mac, so I tried multiple music additing programs. TwistedWave was the winner!!!! Easy, has every function I need!!! I work with figure skating music and can easely put the whole holiday show together by using this app. (1hour and 30 minutes of music)

Super Easy

This software is super easy to use and perfect for doing voiceover, especially eLearning. I highly recommend it.

Essential Sample Editor

I use it for everything, it's a workhorse and one my absolute favorite audio apps. Great for trimming and editing stems, slicing samples, dropping marker points, and setting up sample SD cards for drum machines and modular instruments. Highly recommended.

Longtime Fan

I've used this for years and I still love how easy and efficient it is to use!

Very handy app

I use TwistedWave when ever I need to record something on the fly on either my iPhone, iPad or MacBook. I like the basic editing features and the fact that it lets me select the file format for the recording.

This app is great! Thank you.

It rocks!

The best of the best apps

Have been using Twisted Wave for years. Awesome Audio Recorder and Editor. Able to edit and annotate timeline on the fly. Works seamlessly using iCloud across all Apple devices. Stop and download Twisted Wave. You will find you need not look further.

No spectrogram view

A very pretty piece of software that I am not going to be able to use. I need to be able to manually remove small noises that aren't visible in the waveform but can be heard in the track.

Easy to use - Best results

I used Adobe Audition all the time, since they changed to annual subscription, I was looking for new alternate, This is the best alternate to Adobe Audition. It has all I needed.

An unexpected find..

I hadn’t heard of Twisted Wave until I really started looking into Audio Editors for my Mac. I needed something that I could use to break up a large audio file into smaller files, and Twisted Wave’s support for markers, and then exporting subfiles based on those markers was exactly what I needed. It’s selection and open/save options are comprehensive, and what I wasn’t expecting was how fast TW opens and saves files. I can quickly blast through a large set of sound files, opening them up easily for a quick edit, and it’s just as fast as brining up a quicklook preview in the finder. Plus, it can save .caf files directly, which is really helpful when creating sounds for iOS apps. Twisted Wave has already made my audio workflow much faster and easier. Highly recommend!

Doesn't do simple tasks

I purchased this program in desperation. My windows music editing software kept crashing my PC so I thought I would try to use my Mac for music editing instead. I've had Mac's for 6 years but there's never been any software that compared to windows verions. Unfortuneately, this is still true. This program is unable to do the simplest tasks of moving the clips around in the field. A simple click, hold and slide of the mouse should move the item but no. You have to completely cut and paste until you get the correct placement. Far too time consuming. Then I needed to manually fade parts of the clips to blend together but this is not possible either. I was told in a prompt email reply to my questions that the program doesn't do those two tasks. I'm not sure why anyone would use this program and what would they do with it if you can't move clips and fade them? I basically wasted my money. Don't waste yours.

A Wonderful Precision Tool

We use Twisted Wave every day to edit public radio programs heard across the nation. Yes, we also use the the latest name-brand professional apps, but Twisted Wave rocks when we just want to record or edit quickly with no fuss. The large, uncluttered layout clearly displays just the right amount of information and options. Yet in the menus, there are many powerful timesaving features, like <Effects Stacks> which make it easy to process a track with multiple plugins with just one click and then save that signal chain for future sessions. The <Recent Effects> menu remembers your favorite plugins keeping them close at hand and <Edit Menus> lets you substitute your own key commands or those you learned from another program like Pro Tools. As with any audio app, once in a while it hangs or crashes, but it does so gracefully, rebooting to where you were just prior to the disruption. Twisted Wave is a wonderful precision tool that will bring pleasure to audio professionals, students and home recordists alike.

Excellent and simple audio app

This app is terrific! Its simple approach to saving and modifying audio files is what sets it apart from Pro Tools and Audacity, both programs that I am familiar with. I use TwistedWave to normalize and edit audio files for many projects. Almost forgot, the customer service is incredible too, got a response very quickly from the developer who clarified an issue I was having. Thanks!

Great software but buy elsewhere

TwistedWave is a great application. It's very similar to the old SoundEdit Pro package old-school Mac users will remember from days of yore. Having said that, don't but it here. The version on the Apple store is 1.9.1 and the current version from the developer is 1.10.1. Additionally, you cannot install the updated version directly from the developer because it requires a registration key which Apple will not give you. So, great app but buy direct.

Finally the wave editor I've been looking for

I've tried ProTools and Audition, both of which are great DAWs but so far beyond overkill for what I need they actually make it much harder to do what I need. Much of what I need an audio editor for is taking a long file (i.e. two sides of an LP, or a recording of some live event), cutting out a few bits and splitting the rest into separate files to use in iTunes. I can drop markers, even while playing and easily move them. Selections can then be made betwen them or the file can be split around them. I especially like the quick "delete-with-crossfade" the time of which can easily be adjusted afterwards. The GUI is super fast and responsive. The intertial scrolling of the magic mouse works beautifully with this -- I can zoom way in and out with just a flick of the finger (though there are keyboard shortcuts for this as well). I am able to even use the plugins that came with Final Cut express (eq and so forth). Cons: perhaps slightly overpriced, but I hope to see new features in future versions.
